Researchers Just Released the First Image of the Supermassive Black Hole at the Center of our Galaxy
Today, scientists working on the Event Horizon Telescope collaboration have just released the first images of the supermassive black hole Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*), which lies at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. This is the first time a black hole inside our own galaxy has been imaged. This project was completed by the same team that took the first-ever image of a black hole in 2019.
